JW Marriott Jakarta is a part of the leading hotel chain Marriott International, Inc. and opened its services in September 2001. Situated in south of the city centre of Jakarta in a newly developed commercial area that has become the preferred location for diplomatic embassies and stately residences. It has expanded its operation; in 2005 it will open another luxury hotel Ritz Carlton located across it (schedule to open mid 2005).
This fast regional expansion requires a personnel management system that can support strategic HR and future planning requirements with lower software operating cost. DataOn was selected to upgrade its current HR system to SunFish HR suite. DataOn's proven technology and consulting services will guaranty a smooth transition. By October 2004, its human resource department has started to operate the new HR system. As requested, DataOn has managed to deliver the product beta at an earlier stage then scheduled so as to support and increase of hiring in early 2005 when they will open the Ritz-Carlton Jakarta.
