Hyatt Hotels and Resorts Indonesia prepare for a more innovative future in their human resource management with SunFish HR Professional Suite for Hotels
Jakarta, April 2005 – DataOn Corp. announces that Hyatt Hotels and Resorts Indonesia has selected the SunFish HR Professional Suite to open a new chapter in supporting the hotels personnel management structure. Implementing SunFish HR for three Hotels – Grand Hyatt Jakarta, Hyatt Arjaduta Jakarta and the Grand Hyatt Bali – allows the hotel chain to simplify, standardize and thus accelerate their business processes. SunFish HR was selected for its efficient and cross-location personnel management and ability to eliminate redundancies, resulting in a broader focus of the HR Department towards strategic employee development and aligning them with the chain’s future growth goals. Within the administration area the hotels will achieve a shortening of business critical procedures, decrease the average period of administrative duties, and cut human capital related operating costs without sacrificing their country specific characteristics and flexibility.
The current system in place was not only outdated but also limited to mainly processing the Hyatt’s payroll. Limited function, missing integration, inflexible analysis and review possibilities as well as a complicated and behind the times user interface persuaded the hotel’s IT and HR department to push for a system change starting a vendor selection process mid of 2004. Hyatt was looking at different vendors for several months before DataOn presented its SunFish HR solution in December 2004, which met immediately broad acceptance.
When Hyatt Indonesia chose DataOn’s SunFish HR Professional Suite they had mostly securing the future in mind. The hotel chain had long outgrown the current host-based payroll solution. In additionto issues such as user unfriendliness, reporting limitations also having no standard operational platform for HR process for all the chains different hotel locations had become a growing concern.
After a complete review of a variety of vendors Hyatt decided for the deployment of SunFish HR. The consistent multiple hotels integrating platform, broad functions and reporting capacities, scalability and openness were the main criteria that determined the selection.
Once implemented SunFish HR will provide a single, standard platform that covers payroll management, employee information, approval processing, organizational structure management, personnel career and development as well as training and applicant management. Moreover, access to many different types of analysis and reporting functions will support operative and strategic decision-making and provide a new level of information quality. The hotel management group will always posses the latest required information of the human resource situation at different locations and the human resource department supports more targeted the strategic goals of the hotels.
