PT. Indonesia Comnets Plus/ Icon+ consolidates stand-alone HR solutions with SunFish HR
November 2005, Jakarta – DataOn announces that PT. Indonesia Comnets Plus (Icon+) decided to deploy its SunFish HR Enterprise Version to automate and thus interrelate, optimize and improve its HR related process in the areas of payroll, personnel information management and employee career development in one single platform.
Privately held Icon+, a subsidiary of the Indonesian National Power Company PLN, utilizes and develops Fiber Optic idle capacity, presented in a variety of sophisticated products and services. During the 3 years since its foundation Icon+ has proven its contribution to PLN’s corporate value and its credibility as one of the popular telecommunication companies serving major corporations such as PT. TELKOM, INDOSAT Group, Bank Mandiri, Bank BRI aside from PLN. Innovative Icon+ addressed Human Resource issues early on by purchasing solutions to assist with optimization in areas of need, starting with a basic payroll system, and later employee information administration as well as performance evaluation and competency management. This lead to many stand-alone solutions working independently from one another and requiring multiple data entries.
Facing inefficiencies with this infrastructure Icon+ sought a solution that would integrate all HR process in one application and be compatible with existing technologies. In a vendor selection process that started at the beginning of the year Icon+ compared many well-known HR software providers. The company decided for DataOn’s SunFish HR Enterprise Version for several reasons; among them the product’s web-based nature, flexibility and scalability to accommodate future requirement as well as the reasonable total costs of ownership. Other issues Icon+ considered in its decision were local support and the ability of the solution to integrate with the company’s core systems provide by Oracle.
Once Icon+ completes the implementation of SunFish HR for its 200 employees in all different branches, it provides a complete HR solution bringing together all aspects of the HR domain: information, administrative and strategic functions in one application. It allows Icon+ an HR management that supports these three domains by: - Maintaining complete records of all HR data that can be freely analyzed to develop an complete understanding of the organization and workforce; - Automating and simplifying time-intensive administrational tasks such as employee information management, payroll, time & attendance tracking as well as reimbursement; and - Supporting HR staff to align the workforce with Icon+ short and long-term employee development objectives and strategies via performance evaluation, competency tracking, training and recruitment.
