Mandarin Oriental empowers its HR administration with SunFish HR
January 2006, Jakarta – DataOn announces that PT. Jaya Mandarin Agung also known as Mandarin Oriental Jakarta Hotel has selected DataOn's SunFish HR Professional Version to take their human resource administration to the next level.
The hotel is already using a Payroll Software for automating the most important HR-related obligation but remaining HR processes, especially Time & Attendance / shift tracking and analysis, extensive biweekly reporting on overtime, leave, permit and sick days to their regional office as well as employee information administration were still accomplished manually.
As manual handling, controlling, and reporting on these HR areas for 700 employees has become increasingly time intensive the Hotel decided to implement a software, which would automate the processing and tracking of time and attendance related activities and thus simplify and reduce the time and effort for creating all necessary reports in that context. Furthermore, the future HR software had to integrate a payroll function as the hotel wanted to replace their existing payroll software in order to avoid separately working HR solutions.
Mandarin Oriental Jakarta started the vendor evaluation process for a fully integrated HR software in June 2005 comparing both local and internationally known brands in terms of features, service as well as references of successful implementations in their industry. DataOn was chosen, firstly, because SunFish HR had proven its value for other Hotels including JW Marriott Jakarta, Ritz Carltion Jakarta, Grand Hyatt Jakarta & Bali, and Aryaduta Jakarta and secondly because of DataOn’s implementation experience and customer satisfaction with the software and support.
Once implemented SunFish HR will automate and complement the hotels overall HR process structure, especially their Time & Attendance related activity tracking. The hotel’s comprehensive reporting tasks will become simple and effortless leaving HR staff more time to concentrate on issues such as long-term employee development and alignment with the hotels strategic objectives. SunFish HR will smoothly integrate with Mandarin Oriental Jakarta’s current HR working practices, while increasing their efficiency, anticipating and supporting the hotel’s future evolvement.
