June 2007, Jakarta – DataOn announces that a new information Portal about Indonesia has been launched based on the company’s design concept and Content Management engine SunFish CM.
Indonesia Portal administrators decided to use SunFish CM to meet their target of providing business people staying, investing or temporarily working in Indonesia with comprehensive information on different areas related to Indonesia, online. Presenting many aspects of Indonesian business, culture, legal issues, visa, travel, entertainment, etc. the portal educates, informs and involves visitors. Additionally the site includes space for companies interested in advertising their services via banners or in helping grow the portal by distributing their own content.
Continuous website growth in mind and intending to sell banner ad packages as well as allow eventually different users to contribute content, a flexible system for content management was needed. Therefore the portal owners were looking for a system that would allow them to maintain the overall website information and design, integrate Google ads and a search function, to manage different types of banner packages, including their period and payment terms while also empowering other company’s to manage their individual data easily and efficiently if such requirements are later needed to help grow the portal.
Having used DataOn’s services before for different projects, the portal owners turned to DataOn to provide it with the right content and advertising management solution as well as design and implementation services. Together both teams developed a logo and website concepts in record time, which was then implemented using SunFish CM to ensure effective communication with its business people, expates, and interested visitors. An eCommerce module was also integrated into the CMS so that the portal administrators can create and maintain banner packages, the customers that purchased different packages including the ad utilization amount and period based on the respective payment terms.
