Sarana Multigriya Finance implements integrated HRIS solution SunFish HR to anticipate growth
June 2007, Jakarta – DataOn announces that Second Mortgage Corporation PT. Sarana Multigriya Finance (referred to as PT. SMF)begun implementation of SunFish HR Enterprise to replace its current manual HR administration and in order to prepare for the anticipated employee growth of its company.
The idea for the establishment of a company like PT. SMF originated in 1993, when the Ministry of Finance was searching for a solution to the middle and long-term housing loan problems in Indonesia. With the assistance of The Urban Institute and USAID they then established a consortium with the participation of a few Indonesian private banks and real estates associations in effort to develop a secondary mortgage market in Indonesia. Considering the Indonesian financial status and banking market at the time, it was decided that the secondary mortgage market should be provided by a non-banking institution. However, the idea was not realized because of the financial crisis in 1998 and its aftermath.
The government reactivated the program in 2003 leading to the establishment of the first Second Mortgage Corporation PT. Sarana Multigriya Finance with the mission to develop a housing secondary mortgage system and to provide fund resources for middle and long-term housing loans, so that every family could afford to own a decent house.
The company currently employs forty professionals that work hard on developing standardization of housing loan documents, on providing education and training to increase the effectiveness of loan distribution, on providing middle and long-term fund liquidity for housing loans thus assisting banks to find funds and improve the capital adequacy ratio. In order to become an even more efficient company PT. SMF is preparing to grow in the coming years and recruit further personnel.
