DataOn wins HR Tender for Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) Tender

July 2007, Jakarta – DataOn announces that it is the winner of a tender by the Corruption Eradication Commission of the Republic of Indonesia for an integrated HR system.  The commission’s mission is clear, to fight corruption in Indonesia and cultivate a culture of anti-corruption in Indonesian society, government and the business world.

In order to fulfill its duties of coordinating with and supervising institutions authorized to eradicate corruption; of conducting investigations, indictments, and prosecutions against corrupt acts, of conducting preventive actions against corrupt acts; and of monitoring state governance, KPK presently relies on 300 employees and due to its long-time effort of fighting corruption is planning to employ 1200 more staff to become even more effective. The commission’s employee’s come from all kinds of backgrounds, industries and institutions: business people, lawyers, accountants, police, Army, Navy, etc. and are all experienced in procurement and government budget spending for goods and services that serve the national needs.

Just managing its currently 300 employees confronted the commission with a few efficiency issues, including:
- The time and effort expended to conduct the monthly payroll,
- Timesheets to track flexible work hours and field work hours were not integrated and couldn’t be
  effectively related to the payroll,
- Difficulties in analyzing  employee performances as well as effectiveness of staff placement
- Challenges to match new candidates with job requirements and select the right person for the right
  position, etc.

Having in mind its growth to 1200 employees the commission decided to look for an integrated HR solution that would address all these issues and help them automate and integrate the entire HR management.

When tendered in 2007 KPK pre-qualified four vendors which were technically capable of handling the project.  Presenting the best values in the categories technical and commercial, IndoDev won the tender with 100 points (compared to 89 for the runner up).

When implemented, SunFish HR will provide KPK with a single, standard platform that covers payroll management including integrated attendance and work time tracking, employee information, approval processing, employee performance and position effectiveness analysis, personnel career and development as well as recruitment management.

SunFish HR will automate many administrative HR processes simplifying management, tracking and reporting tasks. The time-consuming administration of payroll becomes an easy task as all necessary information is available in the same system via a mouse click and always automatically follows proper workflows for approval and consolidation.

The new solution will also allows KPK to effectively measure their employee’s performance and position effectiveness as well as to realize farsighted personnel strategies that align the work of their staff with the mission and vision of the commission.   Additionally, the software will support the commission’s unique recruitment process including its pre-requisite qualifications for each position and thorough screening flow for applicants to make sure that the right person is selected for the right job.
