PT Jakarta Cakratunggal Steel Mills upgrades existing HR structures with SunFish HR Enterprise
November 2007, Jakarta – DataOn announces that PT Jakarta Cakratunggal Steel Mills (‘Cakra Steel’) is going to implement the SunFish Enterprise for its, currently, 600 employees. The sales process was led by DataOn’s partner PT. Micron Mustika Integrasi (read more under www.micronmustika.com).
Established in 1991 Cakra Steel is today an independently run steel mill company that belongs to Argo Manunggal Group. With a production capacity of 360,000 MT/ year, the manufacturer produces reinforcing bars and deformed bars dealing with specifications: ASTM A615 / A615M-95C, BS-4449 / 1997; JIS G 3112 / 1991 and SNI 07-2052 / 2002, which are delivered to customers all around the world including North & South America, Eastern & Western Europe, Middle East, Africa, Oceania, East as well as Southeast Asia.
Cakra Steel is going to be the first of Argo Manunggal Group’s companies to implement SunFish HR as part of the group’s effort to innovate its overall HR operating structures with a more advanced HR system, which as an end result shall integrate all the group’s business units in one system and align them to the same HR standards, rules and regulation. The decision to kick off the realization of this plan with Cakra Steel was based on the fact that the company deployed only a payroll processing solution but didn’t not have a system to effectively support the management of all relevant HR aspects – from basic administration to strategic planning.
The group decided for SunFish HR because the software was able to easily compete with well-known international brands in respect of functional depth, user-friendliness and performance stability, while being local software, which meant compliance to Indonesia-specific characteristics and local support. Moreover, the software’s flexibility would allow them to customize it according to the group’s unique business processes and evolve with the group’s future expansion.
Over the last couple of weeks Cakra Steel has prepared and organized its data and teams internally in order to ensure a successful and on time software implementation. From the implementation the company can expect a complete overhaul of its HR Management. SunFish HR embeds complete HR functionalities for managing work time recording, payroll and tax processing, employee information, approval processing, organizational structures, personnel careers and developments as well as training and recruitment management. The automated system will eliminate redundancies; speed up the HR processing times thus increasing SOP efficiency and cutting Cakra Steels’ HR operating costs.
Additionally the new HR solution will take the company beyond traditional HR and allow it to develop a strong personnel strategy that directly connects the value their employees offer with the company’s growth targets. Utilizing the competency framework in SunFish HR individual competencies and skills can systematically be measured and analyzed in order to develop employees’ careers, to identify and close position gaps, reduce education costs, and improve hiring practices.
