Olympindo Multi Finance innovates HR Management with SunFish HR

November 2007, Jakarta – DataOn announces that Olympindo Multi Finance (‘Olympindo’) will rely on SunFish HR in order to not only significantly improve the processing efficiency and accuracy of fundamental HR administration tasks including payroll processing and tax reporting but also to expand their HR Management to effective recruitment and performance appraisal for better matching employee performances with required position skills.

Olympindo, which is engaged in financing new and used vehicles as well as home appliances, had intentions to innovate their HR Management for quite some time as the company’s business continued to grow. However, with their employee numbers now exceeding 1000, the HR department faced more and more challenges to properly and efficiently handle its personnel administration especially regarding company-important issues of recruitment processes as well as performance appraisals.

Having had negative experience with IT investment in the past, Olympindo very carefully evaluated different vendors. DataOn was selected not only because it is local software that competes with international brands regarding functionality and future expansion capability but also because of its project implementation methodology and high customer support levels, which convinced Olympindo’s management that the project will be successful and therefore is worth the investment. 
Once implemented SunFish HR will automate many administrative HR processes simplifying management, tracking and reporting tasks for the 1000 and more employees. Besides advantages in information transparency and data processing efficiency the new solution also addresses the issues of employee performance appraisals, recruitment and farsighted personnel strategy that will align job placements, man power planning and hiring processes with the company’s goals. 
For the employee appraisal Olympindo will be provided with a complex competency framework that supports it to systematically and frequently measure and analyze individual performances, competencies and skills, providing them with a clear picture of the knowledge and potential available within the company. Managers will see at one glance who matches position requirements, who needs training in what area WHERE succession is jeopardized, what positions are filled and what aren’t. Based on that decision makers are able to more accurately plan man power requirements and recruitment needs for every department leading to a better, more effective recruitment process.

SunFish HR will also simplify the recruitment process itself by filing received applications, scheduling interviews, producing applicant flow statistics, routing requests and approvals, customizing recruitment letters, processing offers, tracking the entire hiring process, among other functionalities of the recruitment module. The module employs a unique rating system that assigns different points and weight to applicants in areas such as skill, education and work experience, which makes the sorting and rating of applicants easier, thus allowing a more objective comparison of applicants in different categories.

With both tools Olympindo is given the ability to deploy its human capital more effectively and to support the achievement of its mid and long term HR objectives.
