PT. Dongsung NSC Indonesia to automate payroll with SunFish HR Professional
January 2008, Jakarta - DataOn announces that PT. Dongsung NSC Indonesia (‘Dongsung Indonesia’) has decided to implement DataOn's SunFish HR Professional Edition to renew their time & attendance tracking and automate their payroll processing structures. SunFish HR will be interfaced with the Time Attendance Recorder “DL-C Fingerscan”, an ISO 9001: 2000 certified product from the US, for which DataOn was appointed the sole distributor in Indonesia in the beginning of this year. Dongsung Indonesia is the first customer to take advantage of DataOn’s newly available Software & Hardware combination package.
Dongsung Indonesia is a subsidiary of korea-based Dongsung NSC, since 1998 a joint venture with National Starch Chemicals. However, Dongsung was originally established in 1959 and thus, has operated in shoe adhesive for more than 30 years and as the biggest supplier of shoe adhesives in the world, even before the joint venture. Dongsung Indonesia was established in 1991 and was at that time the only producer of adhesive polymer in Indonesia.
Dongsung Indonesia was interested in an HR solution that would replace the factory’s current manual management of its 200 employees, which proved to be time-consuming and inefficient, especially in respect of payroll processing. The new solution was to help the company to optimize the way they administer their personnel and to achieve their goal of automation and increased speed in all HR related work processes.
After reviewing several vendors Dongsung Indonesia selected SunFish HR as their new HR solution, which after another careful evaluation was approved by the Dongsung NSC head office in Korea. The decision was based on DataOn’s reputation of successful HR implementations and customer satisfaction with the product as well as its multi-company capability as the system will be implemented not only for Dongsung Indonesia but also its affiliate, Dongsung Jakarta, which manufactures Polyurethane resins and surface coating agents.
All SunFish HR modules are based on Internet Technology and use such technology to realize efficiency in the HR processes. From the new HR solution both companies can therefore expect to increase the efficiency and transparency of processing employee information, submitting & approving different types of request (leave, overtime, etc.), payroll & reimbursement processing, as well as management and tracking/analyzing work attendance and reporting. The companies will likely see a reduction of operational costs for the mentioned workflows in their HR department. Individual and roll-based access allows management personnel to quickly gain access to the latest information of the human resource situation as well as detailed reporting, which will help to identify and close discrepancies to the companies’ longer term HR objectives.
