PT. ALSTOM Power Energy Systems Indonesia replaces current software with DataOn’s SunFish HR Payroll solution
February 2008, Jakarta – DataOn announces that PT. ALSTOM Power Energy Systems Indonesia (‘Alstom Indonesia’) is currently deploying SunFish Payroll in order to automate their payroll processing and more efficiently handle crucial accompanying HR tasks including Time Recording / Tracking and Shift Scheduling, Employee Data Administration and Career Movements. This step has become necessary as the company’s old solution did not properly support payroll and tax administration for its 900 employees.
PT. ALSTOM Power Energy Systems Indonesia, is part of ALSTOM Power - one of the biggest and most comprehensive supplier of power generation equipment and services in the world. Alstom has been present in Indonesia for over 40 years providing infrastructure and services for electricity generation. The Group employs approximately 900 people in the country, mainly on its key sites in Surabaya, Sengkang, Tarahan, Paiton, Bontang, Bandung and, of course, Jakarta. The business focus is on the power generation activity, with the boiler manufacturing plant in Surabaya - the largest in the country. Alstom has also provided equipment to most gas- and coal-fired power plants in the country since the 1960s. Alstom is also active in rail transport through its Bandung site, specialized in signaling and control systems.
DataOn’s demonstration of SunFish Payroll showed that the solution includes all core process such as employee and organization structure management, payroll/ tax calculation, processing and filing, linking to time/ attendance and basic career management and is installed, set up and operational for all core processes within only a view days. Both, were the right fit to the company’s requirements and together with the reasonable price, the management chose SunFish as the new solution to underpin their core HR operation.
Once the set up is completed and all parameters defined, SunFish HR Payroll will provide a single, standard platform that focuses on payroll management and integrates all its relevant areas: time and attendance, employee information, approval processing, organizational structure management, and personnel career movement administration. Access to many different analysis and reports provided always the latest required information of the human resource situation in the company and thus supporting the HR department effectively in its operative decision-making. SunFish Payroll will become the backbone of the Alstom Indonesia’s HR operation and practice complementing and automating existing processes, while increasing their efficiency, and optimizing the company’s human resources.
