Soon to be opened JW Marriott Medan Hotel deploys SunFish HR for its Human Resource Management
May 2008, Jakarta – DataOn announces that PT. Kurnia Tetap Mulia, the company managing the new JW Marriott Medan has begun implementing SunFish HR to underpin its HR Management for the soon to be opened 5 star hotel. Additionally, the hotel will also take advantage of DataOn’s Software & Hardware combination package and interface its SunFish HR solution with the Time Attendance Recorder “DL-C Fingerscan”, an ISO 9001: 2000 certified product from the US, exclusively distributed in Indonesia by DataOn.
The JW Marriott Medan hotel is the fifth and latest addition to Marriott Internationals lodging portfolio in Indonesia, located in Indonesia’s third largest city. The 286-room Marriot hotel is situated in the city’s north central business district near the three plazas of Sinar Menara Deli Plaza on the main north-south traffic artery just four kilometers from Medan’s Polonia Airport.
With its decision for SunFish, the hotel follows the Marriott Group Company’s recommendation of DataOn as preferred HR vendor in order to align HR operating procedures, processes and strategy in all its affiliated companies.
The implementation of SunFish HR, which will be completed before JW Marriott Medan’s opening later this year, provides the hotel with the same platform that is already being satisfactorily used in the JW Marriott Jakarta and Ritz Carlton for three years as well as Ritz Carlton’s luxury life style center Pacific Place for almost one year. SunFish HR covers the hotel’s compensation management, shift scheduling and attendance tracking, employee information, approval processing, organizational structure management, as well as employee career development and training for its 550 employees.
Access to many different types of analysis and reporting functions will support operative and strategic decision-making and provide a new level of information quality. JW Marriott Medan’s management will always have the latest required information of the human resource situation at a mouse click while the human resource department can prepare and support the hotel´s future growth and evolvement.
