Anguerah Group to unit all subsidiary companies and branches on one platform with SunFish HR
May 2008, Jakarta – DataOn announces that Anguerah Corporation decided to implement SunFish HR Enterprise in order to replace the payroll outsourcing services on which the group’s seven companies currently rely on. The group’s current payroll outsourcing solution for processing salaries and taxes for a total number of 2500 employees has become too uneconomical to continue in the future. The management quickly realized that the purchase of a complete HR solution for the whole group that would run the payroll for all employees in-house and centralize the group’s HR operations overall would be the better solution.
The development of Anguerah Corporation began with the setup of PT. Anugerah Pharmindo Lestari (APL), a pharmaceuticals distribution company, in 1985 and the acquisition of PT. Combiphar in 1986, a manufacturer and marketer of pharmaceuticals. Until 2000, the company had grown into a holding company with 30 subsidiary companies, 1600 employees and a network of more than 24 branches and sales stations all over Indonesia and succeeded in positioning itself as one of the leading pharmaceutical distribution companies among its customers. The corporation since then continues to take initiatives to get closer to its customers - by expanding its presence, by improving the service level and professionalism to respond to the needs of the customers.
Considering the expenses for payroll outsourcing, the group started researching compatible HR software solutions that would allow them to centralize the HR operation for all business units and branches and process payroll and tax internally. Thinking ahead, Anugerah Corporation also wanted the software to make it possible for them to analyze, develop and retain their employees as well as plan future man power needs.
Anugerah Corporation took the vendor selection process very serious in order to entirely know and understand both the software and the implementation procedures of the vendor that they would in the end entrust with the project. DataOn won the companies’ trust because it put the extra effort to explain in multiple sessions how each software component works and with which other components it correlates, which functions will be customized and how in order to accommodate the group’s specific business processes and needs and in which way the implementation will be conducted, how every party is involved and when in order to ensure a smooth transition.
The SunFish HR Enterprise Version will be installed in the Groups’ 13 business units, namely, Anugerah Group, Pahala Bumi Pertiwi, Combiphar, Farmindo, Pharma Serve, Pharma Health Care, C2, Crush, SCH, BP, AIL, and TDP. It will unit all business units on one platform, automate all their administrative, tracking and reporting tasks for the combined 2500 employees. In the administrative area, the system will support Anugerah’s Group major goal to increase the HR Departments effectiveness and accelerate the completion of basic HR tasks. The system will achieve that by reducing double entries, redundancies, paper files and errors; and also by applying the same HR standards, rules and regulation in all companies making the flow of information significantly more transparent and data processing more efficient.
Being able to do so, leaves the HR people more time to concentrate on more farsighted employee planning related aspects such as analyzing performances and skill levels in all companies, outline individual career paths for employees and develop them accordingly. Decision makers have tools to see, which measures have to be taken in order to support the companies’ future HR development objectives.
