PT. ISS Indonesia expands HR functions with SunFish HR Enterprise
May 2008, Jakarta – DataOn announces that PT. ISS Indonesia (ISS) is currently implementing SunFish HR in order to extend their current HR payroll system to include strategic functions. With the current system not being able to sufficiently manage the company’s 35,000 employees and all of its HR business process, ISS saw the need to replace that solution with a new, fully integrated HR system that covers administrative, operational and strategic HR tasks.
ISS Indonesia is a part of Danish based ISS Group, today one of the world’s largest facility service groups. ISS Indonesia was established in 1996 through the acquisition of ESGO, a subsidiary of Environmental Services – Hongkong and has grown to become one of Indonesia’s leading cleaning and facilities service company, with more than 2,100 customers.
With the current system reaching its limitations in handling the administration of the companies 35,000 employees, the management began searching for a new HR solution that is would be able to handle that many employees for all aspects of the employment lifecycle. ISS’s main requirements for the new software solutions included that it should simplify and accelerate attendance tracking and payroll processing tasks but also that it is equipped with strong talent management features to fulfill the company’s mission of “Finding the right person for the right position” through collecting data of each individual’s capabilities, competencies but also improvement areas.
After DataOn presented its SunFish HR solution, the management quickly made a decision. It felt that the solution’s functions were the most complete to fulfill ISS’s general HR requirements and, more importantly, their talent management needs. Additionally, ISS trusts DataOn that the project will be handled by experienced people that know how to accommodate all individual requirements, so that the company will get the solution it needs.
SunFish HR will automate and simplify many fundamental operational tasks such as attendance tracking, payroll processing and reporting. Beyond administrative and operational duties, the new solution allows ISS to effectively measure their employee’s performance and position effectiveness using the competency framework in SunFish HR. The management thus has a snapshot of the knowledge and potential within the company allowing them to develop a reliable personnel strategy in accordance with the company’s objectives, while the HR department can utilize the same information to outline and develop individual’s careers and close gaps between position requirements and skill levels in order to realize ISS’s vision of people being in the right positions in order to best utilize their talent’s for the benefit of the company.
