SunFish HR declared winner of PT.Permodalan Nasional Madani tender for integrated HR solution
July 2008, Jakarta - DataOn announces that PT.Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) has selected SunFish HR to integrate all their HR management processes in one solution in order to have easy access to the organization’s entire HR data. PMN felt this step was necessary as the management didn’t feel it was able to get a complete overview of the organization’s HR situation because most of the HR tasks were still done manually and collecting relevant data was slow and potentially error-prone.
PNM is a wholly Government-owned Corporation founded in Jakarta pursuant to MPR Decree XVI/MPR/1998, IMF Letter of Intent dated 16 March 1999, Government Regulation No. 38/99 dated 25 May 1999 and Notary Deed No. 1 dated 1 June 1999 validated by the Minister of Justice in Decree No. C-11.609.HT.01.01.TH 99 dated 23 June 1999. Its principle tasks are to provide financing solutions to MSMEs and co-operatives using existing capacity according to business feasibility and market economics. PNM also provides management assistance packages as an integral part of capital finance. Its immediate priority areas for business development include food crop agribusiness, estates, fisheries, livestock farming, forestry and export-oriented, labour-intensive cottage industries generating added value, in addition to service industries such as developers, tourism and human resources.
PNM had already implemented a Payroll solution but payroll related tracking tasks as well as most of the administration was still being done manually – a situation of which the management felt it was inefficient and intransparent to administer 600 employees. Additionally, the company wanted to start shift its HR focus from operative HR towards more strategic employee management. As the current circumstances didn’t give much time to do so, PMN decided to look for a HR solution that would integrate and consolidate all administrative but also strategic HR tasks. They needed the system to shorten critical HR procedures and decrease the average time of administrative duties, so that the HR department can more broadly focus on strategic HR developments in alignment with PNM’s objectives. PNM issued a tender and took time to thoroughly evaluate the participating vendors. DataOn won the tender because SunFish’s features and technology ideally met PNM’s requirement list. Additionally beneficial was the fact, that DataOn has proven implementation experience and success.
Once implemented SunFish HR will provide a single, standard platform that covers payroll management, employee information, approval processing, organizational structure management, employee performance tracking, personnel career and development as well as training management. It will automate many administrative HR processes simplifying management, tracking and reporting tasks for the 600 employees. The time-consuming administration of payroll and tax reporting becomes an easy task as all necessary information is accessible and transparent in the same system via a mouse click and always automatically follows the proper processing workflows as well as can be analyzed quickly. Thus the first step is made and HR staff can use their freed up time to approach the tasks of personnel planning and strategy development of the workforce in accordance with business objectives.
