Sinarmas Energy & Mining automates and integrates HR workflows for multiple coal mining companies with SunFish HR

October 2008, Jakarta – DataOn announces that the division Sinarmas Energy & Mining of Sinarmas Group is implementing SunFish HR to upgrade their human resource management structures and processes. The implementation of SunFish will support Sinarmas Energy & Mining in achieving its goal of automating and integrating the administrative, operational and strategic HR activities for all the coal mining companies under its division and help it to become a strategic partner in the entire group’s growth.

Sinarmas Group, formed in 1962, is one of the largest natural resources based companies in the world operating originally four main businesses: Pulp and Paper Products, Agribusiness and Food, Developer and Real Estate and Financial Services. Over the years, the group expanded into other areas such as trading, chemicals, energy and mining and telecommunications. Sinarmas Energy & Mining was established three years ago uniting several rapidly growing coal mining companies under its division.

Once implemented SunFish HR will align all coal mining companies to the same HR policies, processes, and workflows and provide a new level of data transparency. Thus it will simplify the management, tracking and reporting tasks for overall 700 employees in multiple branches and offices. Besides assisting the companies in increasing their information and data processing efficiency, SunFish HR puts strategic HR management structures in place that support the division in its efforts to transform the HR department from an administrator into a valuable strategic partner.
