Premier Oil PLC implements SunFish HR as global HR System for all Premier Oil subsidiaries
July 2009, Jakarta – DataOn announces that Premier Oil’s headquarter in London –after a thorough review and evaluation process- has decided to implement SunFish as its global HR System. Thus, headquarters is following a suggestion of Premier Oil Indonesia which is already operating SunFish HR for more than a year to guarantee an efficient and proper management of its personnel and growing HR Structures.
Starting out as the Caribbean Oil Company in 1934 to pursue oil and gas exploration and production activities in Trinidad, Premier Oil has come a long way since its early days. Supported by production revenue from the UKCS, the company turned its attention to the Far East with a view to developing energy resources to serve this region's rapidly expanding economies, such as in Pakistan, Indonesia and Myanmar. Premier Oil today is independent and pursuing its strategy of low-risk development of existing discovered reserves whilst maintaining shareholder leverage to material exploration upside. The company is pre-funded for its committed development programme and planned exploration programme.
The software is currently being implemented for Premier Oil companies in the UK, Singapore, Vietnam, Pakistan, with India and Myanmar following once the HR is operating in the first four countries. Once completed SunFish HR will centralize Premier Oils global HR processes and structures, aligning all countries to the same operational standards while being flexible to handle all specific requirements of each region where Premier Oil operates.
