The website medium gives companies the power to distribute large amounts of information almost instantaneously.  With this new ability comes also the responsibility to ensure that only those users qualified to change certain portions of design and content have that access to the back-end system.  In SunFish CM, security privileges are defined granularly by groups or individuals.  All users have defined roles within the system and those roles are used to control their access.

Users of the website will hold different roles in the system. The system will maintain a security matrix that can apply the functional security schema and data level authorization. The role based security is an ideal way for restricting unauthorized access to resources of the website. Depending on the users interaction with the system; they will focus on those areas only.

Access to features in SunFish CM™ can be restricted based the role or position of each user. For example, the web site administrator may have virtually unrestricted access to all of the modules, while an IT staff may only have limited access. This feature will ensure that only authorized users will have access to important features or information.  In combination with the advance workflow processing, SunFish CM can ensure that the website is easy to update without sacrificing the quality or accuracy of the website.
