Multi-Language

Once on the Internet, your website is available anywhere in the world.  Whether your company is an international conglomerate or a small local business, the Internet has the power to globalize your business.  Any company who hopes to do business in other markets needs to consider the importance of communicating in local languages while maintaining corporate standards.

SunFish CM supports the production of multiple language versions of a website.  Although the majority of translation still must be done manually, SunFish CM provides the infrastructure and tools to ensure that all content is properly translated in the easiest possible ways.  The SunFish application itself is available for use in many languages and allows the definition of new languages as required. 

SunFish CM fully supports Double Byte character sets, and as such can fully operate in almost any written language.

The system module supports the definition of an unlimited number of standard and double byte languages. In addition to the multi language capability, it allows administrator to define character sets for each language added to the system. This system will enable administrators to add and modify languages without having to change any code. 

The system supports all languages with definable character sets accepted by Internet Explorer and Netscape browsers. Language translation is performed once per language for the system and as needed for content that is entered or modified. 

The system tracks translation for content and incorporates the translation process into the workflow, allowing the administrator to determine if content may be published before or after all translation is complete.  The system also supports different content for different languages.
