Version Tracking

As your website evolves, content will naturally expand and change.  Although SunFish CM supports the complete approval processing, during content changes it is possible that mistakes may be made or for some reasons it may be important to be able to go back to a prior version.  To ensure that a history of changes is available and administrators will always have the ability to revert to previous versions of content, SunFish CM stores all versions of content.   

Version tracking and rollback were supported to enhance the system administrator’s capability and to provide system backup. Versions of the content and templates are available from a list of previous versions, which can be accessed via a click on the History link above each.   

If the contents of the site are not correct for some reason during deployment stage, then the system is able to roll back the changes. 

The system also allows deployment of one version of the site or rollback the entire versions of the site at once since the site is stored in a database and content is stored by ID keys. This ID key is archived until purged by the system administrator via the workflow process.
